Palm Sunday (March 28, 2010).

"Great crowds of people spread their cloaks on the road, while others were cutting branches for the trees and spreading them in his path." - Matthew 21:8 (The Jerusalem Bible)

In this day, March 28, 2010, Holy Week starts. Today is Palm Sunday. In this day, we celebrates the entrance of the Messiah to Jerusalem. This is also the start of the Holy Week as I said. Many people attend Masses to get their palaspas and be blessed. But, in the Protestant Church, there is no palaspas. We Catholics celebrates Palm Sunday in the other way the Protestants are doing. Jesus Christ is God. He is welcomed by great crowds in Jerusalem, the Bible says...

"The crowds who went in front of him and those who followed were all shouting: 'Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessings on him who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the Highest Heavens!'" - Matthew 21:9 (The Jerusalem Bible)

That what we Roman Catholics are celebrating in this day. The LORD Jesus Christ is Almighty God and Almighty Lord. He is the Son of the Living God. As we celebrate Palm Sunday, let us remember the salvation of Christ, and the entrance of the Messiah in Jerusalem. Good evening and God bless us all.
